The existing 2,618 s.f. home had very few right angles – the original plan did not seem to have any underlying organization – which the owner wanted a contemporary design for he and his family and to make a statement on the direction of his homebuilding business.  The resulting renovation and 1,467 s.f. addition provided the young family with the desired 3-car garage, a modern kitchen , open floor plan with office and additional bedrooms, beautiful views of the lake, and a small pier for their boat.
