We met Steve Proto through his father Rod, whom we had done a lot of work with.  When Rod had mentioned that Steve wanted a new home for his wife Nira, their two kids, and himself, we jumped at the chance.  They wanted something contemporary but that didn’t scare the neighbors too much, that capitalized on views to the back of the lot, and that accommodated their lifestyle and their individual hobbies.  The resulting project included steel & glass exterior walls facing the backyard, a workout room behind the garage, a playroom facing the backyard, an office for Nira, and a music studio for Steve.
